Dave O'Connor, Head Golf Professional, came to Big Canoe in 1995 from Orlando, Florida. Dave worked for Arnold Palmer for 17 years, 8 years at Bay Hill and 9 years at Isleworth C.C. prior to coming to Big Canoe. Dave has been a member of the PGA of America for 18 years. oconnor_th2.jpg
Linda Hunt, Assistant Golf Professional, a native of Texas and graduate of Texas Tech, Linda arrived at Big Canoe with great enthusiasm and golf experience. Linda played eight years on the LPGA Tour and then began teaching and club professional career.  hunt,linda_th.jpg
Rick Justice, Customer Service, retired from BellSouth in February 2002, ending a 32-year career in Data Communications. He has been part of the Golf Shop staff since 2002. justice_th2.jpg
Rob Hampel, Customer Service, works in the golf shop on a part-time basis. He recently relocated from Iowa after a 32 year career with Rockwell/Collins. Rob and his wife Beth moved to Georgia to be closer to their son and family. hampel_th.jpg
Patty Coffey, Customer Service, and her husband relocated to Big Canoe to be closer to her husband's work. Patty works part time, but you can usually find her on the tennis courts or swimming. Prior to coming to Big canoe she was on the staff at the Nutcracker Golf Club, in Granbury, Texas for 12 years. coffee,patti_th.jpg
Trish McCarthy, Customer Service, has lived in Big Canoe for the past 8 years. Trish was a flight attendant for TWA for eighteen years. Trish enjoys golf, tennis and strolling through the Meadows. mcarthy_th.jpg

 

Recent Study

A recent study found the average American golfer walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found American golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, American golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud.
