Men's Golf Clinics - Men's clinics are currently being held every Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. The cost will remain $20 per clinic for members and $25 per clinic for non-members. The signup sheet will be located in the golf shop and the clinics will be limited to the first eight players who sign up. Sign up early, they tend to fill up fast. Golfers of all abilities are welcome to attend. The clinics are scheduled 12 months of the year, weather permitting. Please call before you come down to the golf shop if you think the weather is questionable. Also, if there are less than three players signed up for the clinic, the clinic may be cancelled.

Ladies Golf Clinics - Ladies clinics are held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. during the spring and 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the summer. The cost will remain $20 per clinic for members and $25 per clinic for non-members. The sign-up sheets will be located in the golf shop on the bulletin board. The clinics will be limited to the first eight players who sign up. We spend the first hour on the full swing and the last half hour on different aspects of the short game, which include chip-n-run, pitch shots, bunker shots, putting, and trouble shots. The clinics are scheduled 12 months of the year, weather permitting.  Please call before you come down to the golf shop if you think the weather is questionable. Also, if there are less than three players signed up for the clinic, the clinic may be cancelled.

Other special golf instruction for 2008

I will be holding many one-day special golf classes that will concentrate on certain parts of the game.  The first type of class will be a short-game clinic that will last approximately three hours.  The cost will be $40 per person ($50 for non-members) and limited to the first six players who sign up. We will spend the first two hours on the driving range and putting green, learning and practicing the pitch shot, the chip-n-run, the sand shot, and putting.  The last hour we will go out on the golf course and practice some real live situations.

If you are interested, call the golf shop and give me your e-mail and I will make sure I send you an e-mail of the dates and times these short-game clinics will take place.

I will also be having several one-day golf schools. They will be three hours long and we will spend 1-1/2 hours on the driving range learning and practicing the full swing.  The final 1-1/2 hours we will go out and play as many holes as possible.  The cost of a one-day golf school will be $75 per person (non members $85).  We will limit the number of participants to four players.  If there are less than four players, the cost will be slightly higher.

We will also schedule some one-hole playing clinics where all four players pick a hole that gives them trouble and we go onto the golf course and play that hole.  We will have to hold those late in the afternoon when the golf course is not too busy.  The cost will be $25 per player ($30for non-members) and the clinic should last an hour to an hour and a half.  All the clinics will be posted on the bulletin board located in the golf shop and if you are interested in any of the above, give me your e-mail address and I will e-mail you when I schedule one.

Recent Study

A recent study found the average American golfer walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found American golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, American golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud.
