The Fitness Center
has installed new carpet throughout, replacing the seven-year-old carpet with a
warm, rich pattern. Plus, the new carpet hides the previously exposed and
potentially hazardous TV and equipment cords.
The carpet that was in the locker rooms has been replaced with a neutral-colored rubber flooring, improving the sanitary conditions and daily upkeep of the locker rooms. The retail apparel is now properly displayed on beautiful shelving. The Fitness Center has installed new carpet throughout, replacing the seven-year-old carpet with a warm, rich pattern. The retail apparel is now properly displayed on beautiful shelving. The original seven-year-old seat and barstool cushions that were in dire need of re-upholstering have been redone as well. Some of the original shelves have been relocated to the exercise floor for members to use to temporarily store sweatshirts, jackets, books and other personal items when using the center. Lastly, the aerobic room and racquetball/squash court floors have been refinished. The Fitness Center looks great and we'd like to thank our members for their patience while the fitness portion of the club was closed during this four-day process. We were thrilled to see so many people taking advantage of the pool during this project. Hours for the Fitness Center on March 23, Easter Sunday, are 1 to 6 p.m. Get in shape with our new classes Yoko Holcombe is now teaching the Thursday 10 a.m. Body Sculpting class. Per member request, Yoko is capable of incorporating "Step" into the class. Yoko's classes are extremely popular and we are fortunate to have her in Big Canoe. Per member request, a 45-minute Advanced Functional Training has been added to the group exercise schedule on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This advanced fitness level class will start at 6:45 and end at 7:30 a.m. There is no additional fee to attend these classes instructed by Tony Kijanko. |
