Boat Rentals for Lake Petit

The Fitness Center is responsible for boat rentals at the Lake Petit Marina. Call (706) 268-3441 for rental rates and availability.

Half-day rental - Applies to Canoes and Jon Boats. A four hour period beginning at 8:00 a.m. and must be returned to the slip no later than 1:00 p.m. The second half-day begins at 2:00 p.m. and must be returned at dusk. For example, if you wish to begin your rental time at 4:00 p.m., you must return the boat to the slip by 8:00 p.m.

Full-day rental - Applies to Canoes and Jon Boats. Allows you to pick up the keys anytime during the morning and return it back to the slip by dusk. Remember, the boats are electric and they have approximately 8 hours of battery life per day. This also depends on how many people are on the boat and how fast you run the boat.

Six-Hour rental - Applies to Pontoon Boats. Renters may choose their six-hour period. Allows you to pick up the keys anytime during the day and return it back to the slip by dusk. Remember, the boats are electric and they have approximately 6 hours of battery life per day. This also depends on how many people are on the boat and how fast you run the boat.

Jon Boats - Flat bottomed fishing boats with electric motors. Weight limit is 450 pounds (2 -3 people depending on their size.) Two are available for rental.

Canoes - Motorless boats that can accommodate 2 people.

Safety Equipment:

Life vests and oars are stored on the pontoon boats.
One life vest per person and one oar are provided for each Jon Boat.
One life vest and one paddle per person are provided for each canoe.
Children under 10 years of age are required to wear a life vest.

Cancellation Policy - 7 days notice must be given otherwise the full charge will apply.

Fishing Licenses may also be purchased at the Fitness Center:

Individual - $8 per day
Entire Boat - $15 per day
Children under 12 fish for free
