Big Canoe Trails & Hiking

With roughly 30 percent of its 7,000+ acres preserved as usable green space, Big Canoe is rich in hiking trails – more than 20 miles worth– accompanied by natural waterfalls, babbling brooks and all the fresh mountain air you can imagine. Whether out for a power walk or an easy morning stroll, you’ll be treated to lush scenery and a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the everyday. There is even a Jeep Trail; Big Canoe's off-road trail designed specifically for 4x4 vehicles!

Stop by the Wellness Center to review the helpful "trails corner" to preview our trails or talk to our knowledgeable staff to answer any questions about hiking opportunities in Big Canoe.

The trails are open from dawn to dusk. Following Big Canoe POA policy, dogs must be restrained and controlled at all times while on the hiking trails.

*Big Canoe Amenities are not open to the public.
