The original nine holes of Big Canoe, Creek was designed by Joe Lee and opened for play in 1972. Creek features 4 picturesque holes surrounding Lake Sconti, including the beautiful ninth hole finishing directly below the Clubhouse. Creek was renovated by renowned golf architect Bill Bergin in 2021, adding modern playability to this classic layout.

Choctaw was the second nine holes of Big Canoe, opened for play in 1974. Choctaw is a beautiful and very playable tract that runs along the meandering Blackwell Creek for the first four holes, before turning uphill with some stunning tests of golf. Recently renovated in 2024 by renowned golf architect Bill Bergin, this nine is capped off with the dramatic downhill par 3 ninth.

Cherokee was designed by Rocky Roquemore and introduced as the third Big Canoe nine in 1992. Cherokee boasts dramatic elevation changes, most notably the tee shot on hole two, which has an approximate 200-foot drop to the fairway below. Another impressive tee shot will be found on hole nine, which also showcases significant elevation variation. Cherokee exemplifies North Georgia mountain golf at its finest.
